New Dates T.B.D. $2100. (airfare not included) included is lodging, 2 meals a day, all transportation including pick-up at the Rome airport. $300. non refundable deposit RGS is sponsoring a second trip to Italy this spring for a week of making art and exploring the Tuscan countryside. Participants will stay in an Agriturismo on a former farm just south of Siena. The name of the agriturimo is Il Molinello, and you can see their website on-line. The trip is structured to appeal to both artists and non-artists. The artists will enjoy the large blocks of time set aside for painting or drawing the striking Tuscan landscape and the rich textures of old Italian architecture. At the same time, artists’ partners and other trip participants will enjoy short trips to visit some of the most beautiful Tuscan hill towns, including such locations as Pienza, Montepulcino, and Cortona. Excursions for the full group will include trips to Siena, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, and Assisi, home of St. Francis. Optional activities will include a cooking class and a evening’s orientation to Italian wines and wine tasting. Participants also have the option of adding trips to Florence, Rome or other places in Italy before or after the River Gallery School tour.
