Learn to screen print a two color design onto fabric with the hand drawn technique using water based, non-toxic Speedball Screen Drawing Fluid and Screen filler in low mesh count screens. All materials are provided in this workshop; bring your own fabric articles to print on for unique results.
Saturday 1 – 4 pm
There is no charge to caregivers for these workshops.
Registration is necessary, as space is limited. In the interest of giving everyone a chance, you can register for 1 or 2 and be on the waiting list for any others, with a good chance of attending.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Thomas Thompson Trust and the Kahn-Mason Foundation,
RGS is able to continue a series of artmaking workshops to area caregivers, those who spend so much of their time and energy caring for others. For some of you, it is an ill family member, or an aging parent or spouse, or a child with special needs; for some it is your livelihood.
Whatever the situation, lots of energy and love and care goes into it, and we are hoping to supply just a small break and renewal with these art workshops.
They are all designed to be simple and straightforward, with materials and clear instruction provided. No special skill or experience is necessary, just a willingness to dive in, mess around a little, and make something. Materials and refreshments will be provided. You can be taken care of, for a little change!
