River Gallery School invites you to join us on another art adventure!
Seven nights in a charming small hotel in the Spanish colonial city of Oaxaca.
What We’ll Do:
Join tour leader Cicely Carroll and painting teacher Mary Giammarino in the beautiful city of Oaxaca. Days will begin with art lessons taught by Mary followed by afternoons filled with local activities. The trip will combine cultural excursions, opportunities for art making, alternate activities for non-artists, great eating, and general basking in the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful colonial city and surrounding villages.
Our trip will include:
• Art instruction with Mary Giammarino
• 7 nights lodging
• Traditional Mexican breakfasts at the hotel
• Dinner at local restaurants
• Pickup and drop off at Oaxaca airport
• Local transportation by van and driver
• Monte Albán, the ancient Zapotec capital
• Teotitlan - a traditional weaving village
• Botanical garden and museum
Travelers are encouraged to bring their own cameras, journals and sketching or watercolor supplies, or any other art supplies. To complete the trip, there will be an evening art show with Mary. We will all join for a farewell dinner party.
All activities are optional, and with plenty of cultural excursions and activities this trip is open to both artists and non-art-makers alike.
