Doug Trump lives and works in Marlboro, VT. Born near Rochester, NY, 1950. Summers spent in Crown Point, IN, 1956-1968. Language study in Brittany, France, summer 1966. Public school education, Rochelle Park / Hackensack, NJ, 1956-1968. University of Pennsylvania, BA in Religious Thought, 1972. Married, moved to Norway, 1972. Visited Edvard Munch Museum in Oslo. Returned to the U.S., 1973. Son born.
Self-identity as a writer of fiction and poetry. Employment next 4 years – teacher creative writing, medical technician, gas station attendant, dairy farm worker, saw mill laborer. Began painting 1976. Employment as Yard Clerk, Boston & Maine Railroad switching yard, East Deerfield, MA, 1977-2012.
