Title: My head is too big for my body, trying times.

I make sculpture by having disturbed something, deconstruction becomes construction, action interupts contemplation as a means of accepting a path among many alternatives. There is constant fluidity and changability and elements influence one another as they entangle and smear together. Poised between laughter and despair, they call to mind the natural and unnatural in their materiality, the work is bittersweet.

Artist Statement:

Originally from South Wales, UK. Now living in Shaftsbury, Vermont.

Having studied at Cardiff School of Art, Wales, Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, and Goldsmiths university, London. Lee went on to teach in several colleges in the UK and work with many communities as a socially engaged artist. He now lives and works in Shaftsbury, Vermont and works as a sculptor and educator.
