Artistic Director Emeritus

Lydia worked at River Gallery School for 30 years in administration and teaching before retiring from administration at the end of 2021. She continues to work as a teacher in the Adult Studio classes as well as teaching Sequencing workshops and teacher trainings. Lydia was mentored by RGS co-founders, Ric Campman and Barbara Merfeld Campman, and became the first Artistic Director at River Gallery.

Lydia received her BA in Studio Art and an MS in Education. She is a working artist, recently focusing mainly on natural world observations in walnut ink. Her oil paintings, principally landscapes and abstracts, have been exhibited throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey.
