Thank you for donating new or gently used materials to RGS! To help you decide if we can use your materials, please consider the following guidelines:
We cannot accept:
- Styrofoam
- Sharp objects
- Printer or construction paper
- Crayons
- Untested markers
- Crayola markers
- Soiled cardboard / paper
- House paint
We welcome:
Paper, including:
- Printmaking, watercolor, drawing, pastel and multimedia paper
- Rolls of newsprint or craft paper
- Colored tissue paper
- Collage paper and materials
- Mat board
- Blank canvases
Painting, drawing and printing materials, such as:
- Brushes in good condition
- Palette knives
- Paints
- Holbein and Lucas oil paints
- Pens, pencils, ink
- Gesso
- Dorland’s wax medium
- Gamsol
- Brayers and barrens
- Plexiglass plates, drawing boards
- Artist quality markers (that have been tested and still work): Micron, Sharpie, Faber-Castell, Copic, Prismacolor, Windsor & Newton, Liquitex, Posca, Sakura, etc.
Kid safe sculpture materials, such as:
- Wood scraps
- Bottle corks
- Wire
- Nails, screws, fasteners (sorted in containers)
- Interesting metal and wood bits for sculpture, such as old spoons, springs, egg beaters
- Found objects
- Beads, blocks, feathers, pipe cleaners
- Soft sculpture materials, including fabric
