Feast your eyes on works by Joshua Pincus and enjoy a series of ten small color block paintings. Each block is made of semi-translucent layers that speak together to create an interesting dynamic of composition and color.

These paintings are a continuation of my exploration of portraits of children experiencing war and violence throughout the world, child immigrants at our borders, and American children being shot down in our elementary and secondary schools.

These paintings are my response to fellow humans who are struggling with displacement and the violence of war: the War Torn.

Stuart Copans has been cutting paper since 1978 and has been cutting what he calls “Papercuts for Peace” since the birth of his first grandchild in Jerusalem seventeen years ago. Most of these papercuts contain the word “Peace” in English, Hebrew, or Arabic.
